When using MinoxidiI, results may not be immediate, in fact the first thing you might notice is 'Shedding' which is when the hairs closest to the end of their growth cycle (grow/fall/grow etc) fall out in one go, but they will be replaced by new hairs, which can take some months to come to full length. Shedding is a part of the way in which MinoxidiI works - it doesn't mean that i'ts fake!

 

It can take up to 4 months of consistent use to notice any difference. With regular application, users can expect a reduction in hair loss and some degree of hair regrowth. However, the extent of regrowth can vary from person to person. If treatment is stopped, the normal hair loss process will resume.

What Is It?

 

MinoxidiI is an over-the-counter medication that’s used to treat certain kinds of hair loss. It’s available in different formulations, including a liquid solution and a foam, and comes in two strengths: 2% and 5%, The Hair Guys ONLY sell 5%. The active ingredient, minoxidiI, is a vasodilator, which means it helps relax blood vessels to increase blood flow.

How Does It Work?

MinoxidiI works by increasing blood flow to the hair follicles, which can stimulate hair growth and help prevent further hair loss. It does this by widening the blood vessels and opening potassium channels, which allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicle. This process helps to extend the growth phase of the hair cycle and can increase the size of the hair follicles, leading to thicker strands of hair.

Who Can Use It?

 

MinoxidiI is most effective for people under the age of 55 years whose hair loss is recent. It’s suitable for both males and females experiencing hair thinning or loss. 5% MinoxidiI is only for use by biological males, biological females must only use 2% strength.
